Steed-Todd Funeral Home has served Clovis and the surrounding communities in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas since 1907. Mr. Charles V. Steed and his wife Una established the funeral home at the corner of Grand & Mitchell in 1907. After many years at that location they moved to a new location at 16th & Gidding in Clovis. Mr. Steed was the owner and funeral director until his death in 1938. Mrs. Steed continued the business, hiring Dexter Todd as the licensed funeral director. Prior to Mrs. Steed’s death in 1971 Dexter and his wife Mary Kay purchased the business currently known as Steed-Todd Funeral Home located at Prince and Manana. Since Mr. Todd’s death in 1989, the staff of Steed-Todd Funeral Home has continued the tradition of caring and personal service that was established by both Mr. Steed and Mr. Todd.
