Josie Aurora Martinez, 81, of Clovis, NM passed away April 8, 2017.

A Rosary will be held 6:00pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Steed Todd Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Wednesday April 12, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. With Father Fernando Saenz, Celebrant. A burial will follow at Mission Garden Memories.

Pall Bearers will be Angel Martinez III, Daniel Pena, Gilbert Salinas, Gabriel Martinez, Michael Romero, Albert Hernandez, Phillip Hernandez, and Ruben Sepulbeda.

Honorary Pall Bearers are all of her grandchildren.

Josie was born December 20, 1935 in New Kirk, NM to Paul and Tita (Elevario) Maes. She grew up in Clovis, NM. She married Angel Manuel Martinez, Sr in Herford, TX and together they raised a family of 7 children. Josie enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, and kitchen band. She loved spending time at the American Legion and Senior Citizens. Josie also enjoyed donating to several charities.

Josie is survived by her long-time companion, Esteran Pulga; children; 3 boys Angel Martinez (Sandra), Gabriel (Debbie) Martinez, Ricky (Quintessa) Martinez; 2 daughters; Frances Mendoza and Dolly (Diane) Martinez; 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 43 years Angel Martinez Sr; 2 daughters; Mary Esther Castillo, Tita Romero; great grandson Christopher Romero; 6 brothers; Morris, Ralph, Joe, Tilo, Max, and Frank Maes; along with 2 sisters; Inez Maes Garcia and Pauline Maes Ayala.
