Nida was my aunt. She was the last of my mother's brothers and sisters and brothers and sisters-in-law. My Aunt Nida was only a few years ahead of me in school. We both attended the small community school at Rogers, N.M. She was in high school when I was in first through fourth grade. And since I had known her as a big high school girl when she married my uncle Chester I was allowed to call her by her first name without the Aunt title.
I'm sorry that she is gone as she was the last of the George and Alpha Omega Rierson clan but happy that she was blessed with a long life and a loving family. I have fond memories of her and Uncle Chester visiting with our family at Dora and Portales.

Nida was a lovely lady, and her friendship was special.
Her family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

The death of a loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. Jehovah is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family.
