Paul was born March 17, 1964, in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to his loving parents, Elizabeth and Felix Silva. Paul played for the Clovis High School football team and graduated in 1982. Growing up he would often go hunting with his father and enjoyed archery. Paul began working as a manager at the age of 18 and continued to work in management for the remainder of his life. Some of which included Allsup's, Colortyme, Officemax, Harbor Freight, and Petsmart.

He married his loving wife of 25 years, Sandra Ulibarri, on April 5, 1993. He was a loving father to four children, to whom he cherished very dearly. Paul was always happiest when he was around his family and was known to have a contagious smile. Some would say he was a father figure to many people outside of his own family.

Paul was a very hardworking man who always dedicated himself to his job. Other than work, some of his favorite activities included camping with his family and friends, fishing with his daughters, singing karaoke with his cousins, hanging out with his brothers, cooking on his grill, and watching his lifelong favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys. Paul also had a love for animals and had many pets. He was a fan of the show Star Trek and loved listening to ACDC, Def Leppard, and KC & the Sunshine Band.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Felix J. Silva, and his son, Nathan L. Silva.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Silva; his three daughters, Melissa Silva, Kristyn Silva, and Brianna Silva; his mother, Elizabeth Silva; two brothers, Mark Silva and Phillip Silva; and five grandchildren, Isaiah Silva, Kieara Ray, Aaliah Silva, Jamarion Dickson, and Timothy Dickson.
