Agnes Brown

Agnes Ann Brown, aged 81, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 30th, 2025.

Agnes was born in Hannibal, Missouri to Herbert William Caldwell and Mary Katherine Hyde on February 6th, 1944. She traveled and worked the carnival circuit with her family, until she met her life partner Jesse Brown and married him on November 27th, 1971. Together they raised the family she was so proud of. They settled in Clovis, New Mexico in 1978. Agnes attended mass regularly at Sacred Heart. She was most content crocheting and chatting with loved ones. She spent many happy hours at Baxter-Curren Senior Center and at Eddie's Subs.

Agnes is preceded in death by her husband Jesse in 2015, her parents, and her elder brother Herbert.

Agnes is survived by her children William and his wife Tammy Caldwell, Eric and his wife Sonia Caldwell, Angela and her husband Benny Baca, and Aaron and his wife Midi Brown; her sister Mary Workman and her family; her brother Chuck Moore and his wife Patti and their family; her grandchildren Roddy and his wife Ayreth Caldwell, Carl and his wife Anne Chenoweth, Brian Chenoweth, Alex Brown, Marissa Baca, Moises Baca, Christian Caldwell, and Adriane Caldwell; her great grandchildren Skylar, Kaylee, Colton, and Noah Chenoweth, her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as her many friends she considered family.

The viewing for Agnes will be on Wednesday, May 7th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home located at 800 E. Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico 88101

Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 921 Merriwether Street, Clovis, new Mexico 88101, will hold a Rosary at 9:30 am, Friday, May 9th, followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 am. A reception will follow immediately in the gym.

The family of Agnes Brown wishes to extend our thanks to all who shared their laughter and love with Agnes over the years. Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
