Antonio Orozco-Rivera

Antonio Orozco Rivera, 94, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 21, 2025 at his home in Clovis.
A Rosary will be held on January 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, recited by Rosa Marez. A Mass of Resurrection will follow, officiated by Father Eli Valadez.
Antonio was born on September 2, 1931, to Aurelio Orozco and Dolores Rivera in Rancho Trillo, Chihuahua, Mexico. He had a tremendous love for agriculture and was a true steward of the land throughout his life. Antonio worked in agriculture for over 65 years, both in Mexico and in the Clovis area, where he was a dedicated farm laborer. In his later years, he especially enjoyed driving around and admiring the crops in the surrounding fields.
Antonio was a deeply family-oriented man. He was always there for his brothers, sister, cousins, and especially for his children, whom he consistently encouraged to pursue higher education and a better life. He married the love of his life, Gloria Barriga, on December 15, 1972, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, and later that year they settled in Clovis, New Mexico.
Antonio took great pride in his family and lovingly cared for his grandchildren for many years. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of strong values, integrity, hard work, and the importance of being an honorable human being.
Antonio was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Orozco.
He is survived by his children: Antonio Lorenzo Orozco and Gloria Yadira Orozco-Garcia (Jimmy); his brother, Ignacio Orozco; his grandchildren, Jimmy Jr., Fayth, Joshua, Nadia, Landon, Jaymee, Chandler, and Jazmyn; and his great-grandchildren, Isaac and Abel.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Garcia, Joshua Garcia, Isaac Gutierrez, Kaden Kinkade, Landon Scarlata and Chandler Orozco.

Se llevará a cabo un Rosario el 2 de enero a las 10:00a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, rezado por Rosa Marez. A continuación, se ceclebrará una Misa de Resurrección, oficiada por el Padre Eli Valadez.
Antonio nació el 2 de septiemre de 1931, hijo de Aurelio Orozco y Dolores Rivera, en Rancho Trillo, Chihuahua, México. Tuvo un profundo amor por la agrucultura y fue un verdadero custodio de la tierra a lo largo de su vida. Antonio trabajó en la agrucultura por más de 65 años, tanto en México como en el área de Clovis, donde fue un dedicado trabajador del campo. En sus últimos años, disfrutaba especialmente salir a manejar y admirar los cultivos en los campos circundantes.
Antonio fue un hombre profundamente orientado a la famiia. Siempre estuvo presente para sus hermanos, su hermana, sus primos y, especialmente, para sus hijos, a quienes constantemente alentó a buscar una educación superior y ujna vida mejor. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Gloria Barriga, el 15 de diciembre de 1972 en Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México, y más tarde ese mismo año se establecieron en Clovis, Nuevo México.
Antonio sentía un gran orgullo por su familia y cuidó con amor a sus nietos durante muchos años. Deja un legado duradero de valores firmes, integridad, trabajo arduo y la importancia de ser un ser humano honorable.
Antonio fue precedido en la muerte por su amada esposa, Gloria Orozco.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Antonio Lorenzo Orozco y Gloria Yadira Orozco-Garcia (Jimmy); su hermano, Ignacio Orozco; sus nietos: Jimmy Jr., Fayth, Joshua, Nadia, Landon, Jaymee, Chandler y Jazmyn; y sus bisnietos: Isaac y Abel.
Los portadores del féretro serán Jimmy Garcia, Joshua Garcia, Isaac Gutiérrez, Kaden Kinkade, Landon Scarlata y Chandler Orozco.
