Benita Sanchez

Benita Sanchez, 90, of Farwell, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 9:00am - 5:00pm at the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Daniel Chavez will be officiating the funeral service. A burial will follow services at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Benita was born in Lockhart, Texas to Andres and Maria Castillo on April 3, 1935. She married Rudolph Sanchez Sr. on June 15, 1952 in Lamesa, Texas. She was a homemaker, a caregiver but most of all she was a very loving person.

Benita was preceded in death by her parents Andres and Maria Castillo, her loving husband Rudolph Sanchez Sr., her son Joe Micheal Sanchez, brothers; Tom Schuman, Ruben Silva Castillo, Joe Castillo, and one sister Helen Castillo.

Benita is survived by her children: Jane Morales of Fresco, Texas; Rudolph Sanchez Jr. of Brandonburg, Kentucky; Irene Edwards of Farwell, Texas; Sammy Sanchez of Clovis, New Mexico; Ruby Millspaugh of Albuquerque, New Mexico and a brother Victor Castillo.
