Billie Hill

Billie R. Hill, age 94 and a lifelong resident of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on May 6, 2024.

Billie was born on March 14, 1930 in Claude, Texas to Ernest Betts and Teleta Tate Betts.

Billie graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1948. She worked as a homemaker, bookkeeper and volunteer. She loved the Lord and was a member and first director of the Latch Key program of First Methodist Church of Clovis.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pat; her son, Roger Porter; sisters, Polly West and Evelyn Patterson; brothers, Linwood and Gene Betts. She was the last of her generation.

Billie is survived by her children, Vicki Marchman (Jack) and Rodney Porter (Patricia); grandchildren, Roddy Porter, Cory Porter, Jada Bryant, and Dayla May; and several great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Mission, 407 L Casillas Street, Clovis, NM 88101.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 2 PM at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis with burial to follow.
