Celestina Aragon

Celestina Aragon "Sally" (Sotelo), 94, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Monday July 28, 2025.

Celestina was born on April 6, 1931 in Vaughn, New Mexico to Alcario Sotelo and Josephine Anaya. She married Jose S. Garcia and together they had nine children.

She was a lifetime resident of Clovis, New Mexico and was a member of Asamblea De Dios church where she was baptized years back. She was of the Christian faith and a servant of God who loved the Lord.

Celestina is preceded in death by her loving parents, her ex-husband Jose S. Garcia, one son Daniel Garcia, one daughter Christine Garcia, four sisters; Isabel Guzman Gutierrez, Rena Martinez, Layola Garcia and Gloria Anaya, one half sister Viola Sotelo, two grandsons; Daniel Garcia and Gabriel Tapia, two son-in-laws; Benito Reyes and Bobby Granger.

She is survived by her children; Elma Reyes of Clovis, New Mexico, Benny (Irene) Garcia of Amarillo, Texas, Christine (Eddie) Sheppard of Ohio, Larry (Sholonda) Garcia of Lubbock, Texas, Joey Garcia of Clovis, New Mexico, Julie Garcia of Clovis, New Mexico and Valentine Garcia of Moriarty, New Mexico, fifteen grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
