Celina Garcia

Celina "Cecilia" Garcia, age 95, beloved mother grandmother and great grandmother passed away on May 19, 2025, in Amarillo Texas. She was born on November 15, 1929, in Pintada, New Mexico.

She worked as a caregiver at nurseries in Clovis for several different churches and she was also an eyeglass technician for an optical shop in Clovis and at Cannon Air Force Base.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Mary Apodaca, daughter Mary "Pinkie" Caballero, grandson Seth Gonzales, Sisters Minnie Acevedo, Bange Lozano, Emily Coughlin, brothers Tony Apodaca and Jimmy Apodaca.

She is survived by her children Victor Caballero Jr. (Louise) of Los Lunas, NM, Ann Armijo (Manny) of Belin, NM, Patrick Apodaca of Clovis, NM, Irene Rhoades (Ignacio) Acuna of Clovis, NM, Debra Atencio (Ron) of Colorado Springs, Co, and Jacob Caballero of Los Cruces, NM. 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family of Cecilia Garcia would like to thank her caregivers Krystal Ford, Jana Stoddard, K. Bee Home care, Dr. David Estabillo and staff for all their help and care.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Steed Todd Funeral Home 800 E Manana Blvd Clovis, NM.

Services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery.

Reception will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1705 W. 21st st Clovis, NM.
