Charlene (Audette) Vienneau

April 15, 1930 — December 7, 2025

Charlene Mary Vienneau, 95, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at Wheatfields Estates in Clovis, New Mexico. Charlene was born April 15, 1930, in Greenville, Maine, the daughter of Joseph-Ernest and Valeda (Baillargeon) Audet. In 1955, Charlene married the love of her life, Leon Vienneau, and they spent 57 wonderful years together before Leon passed away in 2012.
Charlene loved and cherished being a homemaker and taking care of her husband and three boys: Alan, Glen, and Paul. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals like her salmon pie and tending to their large vegetable garden and raspberry bushes in Vanceboro, Maine. Everyone in the family looked forward to her scrumptious raspberry jam each year. Moreover, she delighted in having special tea parties for her grandchildren when they were young, even if they preferred to drink Moxie instead of tea in their fancy teacups. Furthermore, Charlene loved sewing and mending clothes for her grandchildren, designing and sewing Barbie clothing for her granddaughter's dolls, and knitting various items for friends and family. Additionally, she relished a night out with her friends, especially her close friend Nancy Keene, playing various card games including Pinochle, cribbage, and Racko. Even in her 90's, Charlene was always up for a good game of cribbage with either one of her grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Charlene was predeceased by all her siblings; her husband, Leon; and her sons, Alan and Paul. Charlene is survived by her son Glen Vienneau and wife, Laurie; daughter-in-law, Virginie Vienneau (Paul's wife); grandchildren: Jessica (Trevor) Thron, Sarah (Clay) Landry, Kimberly Vienneau, Ryan (Emma) Vienneau, and Ethan Vienneau; four great-grandchildren: Keegan, Kaden, Khloe, and Avery; and lastly, Charlene's family would like to express their deep and heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Charlene's niece, Diane Audette, for all the love, time, and attention that she devoted to Charlene when she needed assistance in her later years before moving to New Mexico. Charlene was very fortunate to have such a generous and kind person in her life. In addition, the family would also like to convey their profound gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Wheatfields Estates Senior Living and Memory Care for the love and support that they provided to Charlene when she moved from Maine to New Mexico to spend the last year of her life near her son and his family. They truly helped to make New Mexico feel like she was home. Finally, her family would like to thank the PRMC Hospice team for the care and compassion that they showed to Charlene during the final chapter of her life.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Wheatfields Estate Senior Living and Memory Care, 4701 N. Prince Street, Clovis, New Mexico 88101.
At this time no services have been planned or scheduled.
