With heavy hearts we share the news that our brother, David L Crubaugh, passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 61 after a long illness.
David was born in Dubuque, Iowa on July 28, 1964 to Melvin and LaVon Crubaugh. His family lived in East Dubuque, Illinois, Rochelle, Illinois and then moved to Clovis, New Mexico.
He attended Westbrook Christian Academy and graduated with a class of four other seniors in 1982. Two of his classmates, Randy Petty and Joe Strickland, became lifelong friends. He continued his education at Eastern New Mexico University earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1986.
David was known for his relentless work ethic and commitment to his job as an executive banquet server. He often served at banquets for international convention groups containing 1,500 people or more. He settled in Las Vegas, Nevada and worked from 2006-2025 at Red Rock for Station Casinos.
David enjoyed watching football games, cooking gourmet meals and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and used several common phrases that our family still repeats.
He is survived by his former wife and friend, Sue Crubaugh, as well as his sons, Matthew Thomas and Andrew Michael whom he deeply cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and LaVon Crubaugh, of Clovis. David leaves behind his siblings, Susan, Peggy, Jane, Jeff, Tim, Jennifer and his Aunt Ann and Uncle Frank Stimpson of Albany, Georgia.
Our brother David will be forever missed and always loved.
