Diane Lokken

Diane Marie (Gray) Lokken, of Clovis New Mexico, died on August 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 70. Diane was born on December 28, 1946 in Howell, Michigan to John S. and Marie F. (Lilywhite) Gray. She was the third of seven kids. She attended Onondaga Grade school and graduated from Lesly High School, MI. On January 9, 1965, she married Richard R Lokken of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and together they had 3 children; Angela, Richard, and Nicole. Diane worked for the Clovis Municipal Schools as a School Foods Manager at James Bickley Elementary, Highland Elementary and Bella Vista Elementary. She dedicated herself to providing children with healthy, nutritious, delicious meals and was recognized by the School Foods Association as the Heart of the Program. She was a lifelong member of Auxiliary VFW Post 3280. A kind soul, Diane loved cooking, reading, quilting, traveling and bird watching. She was a great storyteller. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren most of all and she will be very greatly missed.
Diane is survived by her husband Richard R Lokken, children; Angela Marie Violet Cannaday of Edgewood, NM, Richard Robert Lokken and wife Amy of Ft. Worth, TX, Nicole Lee Lokken of the Colony, TX, grandchildren Hope Marie Williams and husband Brandon of Phoenix AZ, Heather Sierra Walker of Albuquerque, NM, Destiny Jade Lokken of Edgewood, NM, Richard Raymond Lokken of Phoenix, AZ, Ryan Mitchell Miller of Destin, FL, Taylor Raven Cannaday of Edgewood, NM, Raegan Madison Miller of Destin, FL, and Rory Montgomery Miller of Destin, FL, great grandchildren Darnell and Faith Williams, sisters Gwendolyn Rogers and husband Roy of Charlotte, MI, Gale Steele and husband Bernard of Easton Rapids, MI, and Kimberly Scutt of Glen Burnie, MD, brothers John Gray of Onondaga, MI, and James Gray and wife Sue of Onondaga, MI, and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and Father, sister Connie Graves and her husband Jerry, and son-in-law Rick Cannaday.
A visitation will be held on August 22 at Steed Todd Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. A memorial service will be held in the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 AM on August 23, 2017. Interment burial immediately following in the Lawn Haven Memorial Garden Cemetery in Clovis, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be: Dean Miller, Brandon Williams, Joe Morgan, Terry Glunt, Ronnie Roberts, and Mike Harlin. Honorary pallbearers will be: Richard Raymond Lokken, Tyler Newell, Ryan Miller, and Rory Miller.
