Dolores (Jeannine) Cullop Penrod
Dolores C. Penrod, 88, of Portales, NM, died Monday, December 11, 2017, after a long illness.
She was born June 10, 1929, to Robert and Margaret (nee De Bord) Cullop in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was a graduate of the Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
She was the founder of the Community Services Center in Portales, and was its director until her retirement in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Floyd and Fred, her husband James Penrod, and her sons David and Donald. She is survived by all the friends she made and loved.
A memorial will be held on January 13, 2018, with interment at 1:00 PM at the Portales Cemetery, and a gathering of friends at 2:00 PM at the Yam Theater on Main Street in Portales.
