Donald Loyd Reames

Donald Loyd Reames, 71, of Portales, New Mexico, passed away on April 01, 2026.
Donald was born on September 01, 1954. He spent his life in Eastern New Mexico, where he built not only a livelihood, but a legacy through hard work, determination and the life he created for himself and his family.
Some of Donald's favorite times were spent with friends and family in Mexico or Conchas Lake scuba diving. After retiring, he dedicated a lot of his time to fishing with his dad.
He was preceded in death by his father Ted Reames and his brother Doug Reames.
Donald is survived by his children, Joshua (Erika) Reames of Clovis, New Mexico, Courtney (Jimmy) Neece of Logan, New Mexico, and Naomi (Patrick) Rogers of Portales, New Mexico. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Hadlee Rogers, Karsten Rogers, Tyler Mehl, Hayden Inge, Ethan Inge, Ryver Neece, Payton Reames, Brooklyn Reames, Traejn Reames, Erika Perales, and Christian Moreno.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Mehl, Hayden Inge, Ethan Inge, Ryver Neece, Payton Reames, Traejn Reames and Christian Moreno.
A graveside service will be held on April 10, 2026 at Lawn Haven Cemetery with services begining at 1:00pm.
