Douglas Cantonwine

Douglas Cantonwine (70) of Tucumcari passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Arrangements are being made by Steed Todd funeral home.  Private services will be held in Tucumcari.

Doug was born in Sterling, CO to Kathleen Masters and Alfred Cantonwine on December 13, 1952. He married Anne Silva on June 2, 1990 in Salida, CO. He was a Sergeant E5 Army Veteran.  He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for nearly 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Masters, his father, Alfred Cantonwine, and his brother, Jerry Cantonwine.  Doug is survived by his wife, Anne, daughters Marisa and Pamela, son, Jeremiah, brothers Mike (Sherri), and Fred (Gloria), brother-in-law Art, sister-in-law, Della, and grandchildren, Travis, Brittany, and Liam.

Doug is remembered for his great sense of humor, talent for landscaping, wood working, and crocheting. He loved spending time enjoying the outdoors, and taking care of his patients at the hospital brought him much joy. He shared so much wisdom with his loved ones and will be greatly missed.
