George Tafoya, a man of profound faith who walked daily with the Lord, passed Wednesday June 10th 2026 at the age of 70.
George was born to Epifanio & Josie Tafoya on April 5th 1956 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. On April 29th 2017 he married the love of his life, Anna Ramirez. Together they created a home centered on Christian values & unconditional love. As a father, grandfather and uncle George was a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, & laughter. An avid fisherman. He found peace in God's creation with a fishing rod in his hands. He truly lived as a "fisher of men" casting a line of love & faith into the lives of everyone he met.
For over 30 years, George provided for his family and served his community as a dedicated plumber. He took immense pride in his trade, known not just for his hard-working hands & master craftsmanship, but for his integrity. To George plumbing wasn't just a job; it was a way to help neighbors & instill a strong work ethic on those around him.
His memory will be forever treasured by his beloved wife Anna Ramirez, cherished children Liliana (Armando) Jimenez, Gilbert (Adriana) Valdiviezo, and Juan Carlos Avila. His adored 7 grand children, 3 great grand children. His two loving sisters Liz (Shane) McGregor and Linda Tafoya Garcia, 5 treasured nephews and 7 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
George is proceeded in death by his loving parents Epifanio & Josie Tafoya and nephew Eli Tafoya.
