Geraldine J. Blanton, 65, of Clovis, died on February 4, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1939 in Newton Grove, North Carolina to Thomas and Ina Jones.brbrGeri was the youngest of seven children. She was born and raised on the family farm in Newton Grove, North Carolina. She married Manis Blanton on December 11, 1976 in Clovis. Geri loved playing Bingo She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and camping. She had been a resident of the Clovis community since 1971.brbrShe is preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Cecil, Bill, Henry, and Thomas Jones.brbrSurvivors include her husband, Manis Blanton, of the home; two sons, Steve Credle and his wife Susan of Clovis, and Shane Credle of Portsmouth, Virginia; one step-daughter, Cindy Harmer and her husband Michael of Clovis; three step-sons, Ricky of California, Billy, and Matthew of Blanton of Palm Coast, Florida; one sister, Ruby Jones Ruffin of Wilson, North Carolina; one brother, Earl Jones of Blackcreek, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson.brbrGraveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Cecil Bunch officiatin. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Johnson, Darryl Baldwin, Lynn Newberry, Ryan Credle, Brannon Credle and MArk Shough.brbrMemorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.brbrArrangments are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home, 800 E.
