Gevion Lewis

Gevion D'Anthony Lewis, 13, of Clovis passed away on July 16th 2017 in Lubbock Texas.
Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home from 9 to 5 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday July 26th at the Living Word Church with Pastor Bonetta Hutson officiating. Burial will follow immediately in Muleshue, Texas.

Gevion was born on July 12th 2004 to Shawnita and Jeremy Jones (stepfather) and Lee Anthony Lewis.

Gevion attended Marshall Middle School, was a member of the Crush baseball team, and participated on Marshall's baseball and basketball teams.

Gevion is preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Hayes, Grandfather Tommie Hayes, and great-grandparents Arthur and Juanita Hayes.

Gevion is survived by his parents, Shawnita and Jeremy Jones of Clovis, NM; father Lee Anthony Lewis (Christina Lewis) of Waco, TX; sister Izhanay Hayes, brother Tayjuan Lewis of Clovis, NM, and brother Romeo Lewis of Waco, TX; grandparents Lee Lewis, Carolyn Cleveland and Jonie Payton, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

The family of Gevion Lewis wishes to extend our sincere thank you the Clovis community for their love, kindness, prayers and support, as well as the staff at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, and all those who helped with Gevion's rescue and care.
