Gladys Elizabeth Paulk

Gladys Paulk, 69, of Clovis, NM, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Albuquerque, NM. Funeral services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been made with Steed Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM.
Gladys was born in Nowata, Oklahoma to Ralph and Esther Paulk on July 13, 1956. She went to school in Clovis, NM. She worked as a bar tender for the VFW and other organizations, she was also a taxi driver for Renzenburger, and she was the neighborhood mom/grandma for anyone who needed love and support. She was previously involved with the VFW, Amvets, and FOE.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Esther Paulk, her son Theodore Gilbert, Daughter Lucretia Gilbert, and brother David Paulk.
Gladys is survived by her children James Selman of Oklahoma, Richard Gilbert of Albuquerque NM, daughter Anastasia Herold of Clarksville TN, many adopted children/friends of her children, sister Helen Jones of Clovis, NM, Brother Charles Paulk of Ottumwa, Iowa, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren both biological and adopted, and her boyfriend of many years Jeff Traylor.
The family of Gladys Paulk wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Presbyterian Downtown Hospital for taking care of her and everything they did to try to keep her alive over the last several weeks of her life. Also, to her many friends for loving and supporting her, and everyone that prayed for her on a daily basis especially at the end of her life. She was loved and cherished even when she did not feel it. She was a good mom and an even better grandparent. She will be missed.
