Glenda Smith

Glenda Maxine Smith, age 85, of Texico, NM entered into eternal peace on January 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 2, 1933 in Lubbock, TX to the home of J.M. and Christine (Griffin) Clark.

Glenda worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She was a devoted member to 21st Church of Christ. Glenda married the love of her life, Homer Smith on May 12, 1951.

Preceding Glenda in death are her parents, J.M. and Christine Clark; a son, Kent Smith; her sister, Neta Erickson; brother, Derrel Clark; and son-in-law, Jimmy Summerlin.

Glenda leaves behind her husband, Homer Smith; daughters, Evon (Don) Grubbs, Deon (Craig) Hunt; daughter-in-law, Paula Smith; brothers, Raburn Clark and Dwain Clark; sister, Earlene Wright; 6 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (CST) followed by memorial services beginning at 1:00 PM (CST) at the Loop Church of Christ in Loop, TX with Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Loop Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Shane Summerlin, Josh Smith, Scott Hawkins, Shawn Schlueter, Chad Johnston, and Brice Hunt.
