Gwendolyn Read, age 89 of Portales, New Mexico passed away on May 26, 2019 in Portales, New Mexico.

Gwendolyn was born in Portales, New Mexico to Leonard Eady and Loveta Mauldin on October 31, 1929. She married Lawson Read in 1950. Gwendolyn worked at Portales Drug for many years and also took time to travel with her husband. Gwendolyn lived in several different places over the course of her life including Portales, New Mexico, Kansas City, Kansas; Reno, Nevada; Alamosa, Colorado and Tucumcari, New Mexico.

Gwendolyn had 3 step-children & numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and stepson. Her sister, Zelma Colene Box followed her to heaven the following week on May 31, 2019.
