Helen Steinbock

Helen Bernice (Cunningham) Steinbock, age 85, of Farwell, Texas entered into rest on Friday, May 5, 2017in Farwell.

She was born on December 19, 1931 to the home of John Andrew Cox and Emma (Shelton) Cox-Embry in Colgate, Oklahoma. She married James Van Cunningham. He passed away on December 26, 1960. She then Married William Fredrick Steinbock on April 29, 1970 and he passed away on June 27, 1982.

Helen is survived by five children; James (Diane) Cunningham of Clovis, NM; Mary (Wayne) Almstrom of West Boylston, MA; Jerry (Monnie) Cunningham of Texico, NM; Ella (Jim) Willess of Lubbock, TX; and Kathy (JR) Landry of Farwell, TX. She is also survived by one sister; Reba Stanfield of Mena, AR; sixteen grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Mina Anderle and Cindy McMillian; two nephews, Cecil McMillian and Archie McMillian; three great nieces; and one great nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; her son, James A. Cunningham; and her grandson Troy Lynn Cunningham.

Helen loved gardening and loved working in her yard. She had a love for birds and all animals and would feed them all. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 9:00 AM (New Mexico Time) in the Steed-Todd Chapel with Seth Ellsworth, officiating. Burial will follow in the Texico Cemetery in Texico, NM.
