On May 20, 2026, Henrietta Archie Pop peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by the love of family and the memories of a life beautifully lived. Her love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Henrietta was born on August 25, 1944, in Grosebeck, Texas, to the late Joseph Archie and Myrtle Lee Archie. She was a woman rooted in strength, wisdom, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community.
Later in life, Henrietta earned her degree in Criminal Justice, demonstrating her determination, perseverance, and commitment to lifelong learning. She was also proud to have worked alongside her father at the Knights of Pythias, where she built lasting memories and strengthened the values of hard work, service, and community that remained with her throughout her life.
To know Henrietta was to know warmth, laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. She was the heart of her family, bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. She found great joy in celebrating family, sharing home-cooked meals, and creating lasting memories around the table. Whether through her cooking, her guidance, or simply her presence, she had a gift for making others feel loved and cared for. Her greatest joy was her family, and the love she poured into them will continue to live on for generations.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Joseph Dennis Pop of Clovis, New Mexico; Gary D. Pop (Greta Gillis) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Henrietta Jowisa Berry of St. Louis, Missouri; and Monique D. Pop of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Darnel Doyle (Jeffery "Cutty" Doyle) of Shalimar, Florida, and Hester England of Clovis, New Mexico; and her brother, Scott Foster of Clovis, New Mexico.
Her love and spirit will continue to shine through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, chosen family, and dear friends who loved her dearly and will forever cherish her memory.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Archie and Myrtle Lee Archie; her brothers, John Wayne Archie, Joe Lee Archie, and Johnny Joe Archie; and her sister, Wanda Louise White.
Though she has departed from this earthly life, her love, wisdom, strength, and beautiful spirit will forever remain woven into the hearts of those she loved.
