Ina Ann Chandler

Ina Ann Chandler passed away on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2026 in Amarillo, TX. She had resided at Wheatfields in Clovis, NM until she fell and broke her leg, then she went to The Craig for rehabilitation.

Ina was born on March 15, 1934 to Luther and Olive Irwin in Clovis, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Clovis. On August 18, 1952 she married Sammy Chandler. He passed away September 11, 2014. They spent their 62 years together in Clovis.

Her work career began as the volunteer mother and then concluded working as a clerk and bookkeeper first at Highland Drug and then at Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was very active. She was a member of the United Methodist Women Circles, Women's Bible Class, and PRMC Auxilary. Above all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Ina is survived by two sons: Larry (Norma)Chandler of Phoenix, AZ, and Rick (Judy)Chandler of Fredricksburg, TX

One daughter: Kathy (Pete) Peterson of Turpin, OK

Four grandchildren: Justin Peterson of Lawrence, KS; Erin (Troy) Keller of Canyon, TX; Ana (Angel) Chandler-Magnana of Phoenix, AZ; Andrew Chandler of Phoenix, AZ

One grandson-in-law: Harley Ryan Day of Amarillo, TX

Seven great grandchildren: Caitlyn Peterson of Lawrence, KS; Jacob Peterson of Lawrence, KS; Brody Peterson of Lawrence, KS; Tatum Kellar of Stillwater, OK; Trevor Kellar of Canyon, TX; Avery Day of Amarillo, TX; Samuel Day of Amarillo, TX

Ina was preceded in death by her husband Sammy, her brother Leverne Irwin, her sister Lee Callaway, her sister Frances Bowers, and her granddaughter Jennifer Day.

The funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 10 am at Steed Todd Funeral Home. A viewing will take place from 8:00 to 9:45 am at Steed Todd prior to the service.
