James Wilkerson

James R Wilkerson, born January 24, 1927, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2018.

The son of Roy and Ruby (McKinney) Wilkerson grew up with love and encouragement shared with him by his parents, five younger brothers, and
many aunts, uncles, and cousins who fostered James's lifelong adoration of our heavenly father and the importance of family.

Jim was raised in Valley View, Texas and served in U.S. Navy in World War II. After the war, he graduated with dual bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance from
University of North Texas. In 1950, Jim married Mary Alice Smith and they had two daughters: Carla and Shelley. Jim worked forty years in the cotton
commodities industry where he was the Executive VP of Anderson Clayton and Chickasha Cotton Oil Company. He and his family lived many years in
Phoenix, Arizona where he served as a deacon at North Phoenix Baptist Church for 25 years. Following the death of his wife Mary Alice after 57 years of
marriage, Jim married Jonell Claiborne in 2007. Jim and Jonell enjoyed serving the Lord as members of Central Baptist church and spent many years
of traveling and spending time with their families.

Jim is proceeded in death by his first wife, Mary Alice Smith, his precious daughter, Carla Wilkerson, his brother Curtis Joe Wilkerson, and his
parents, Roy and Ruby Wilkerson.

His beautiful memory will be forever cherished in the lives of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jonell; his children: Shelley and Jim Denton, Diana and Bill Russel, Teresa Carter; grandchildren: Amy and Kirk Marshall,
Krista Wealick, Ryan and Tasha Denton, Chase and Kelsey Denton, Brooke Denton, Jeremiah and Sarah Johnson, Nyman and Sandra Russell;
great-grandchildren: Zach and Luke Marshall, Bridger and Jairdan Wealick, Thatcher and Crew Denton, and sweet baby James Denton, Kade, Lola, Winston,
and Vivian Johnson. Also, he is survived by the following siblings: Truman and Clydene Wilkerson; Royce, Milton and Elton Wilkerson and numerous nieces
and nephews.

Services will be held at Central Baptist Church on Saturday, November 3rd at 10:00 am.
