🌿 Obituary for Jane Elizabeth Owen Harrington

Clovis, New Mexico

Jane Elizabeth Harrington, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Golden, Colorado on March 22, 2026. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and quiet and sometimes stubborn strength touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born in Williamsport, TN on August 5, 1939.

Born with a heart full of compassion, Jane devoted her life to caring for others, whether through her family, her work on the farm, or the countless small acts of generosity she offered without expecting anything in return. She had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. She had a way to make you laugh and smile any time you were with her.

Jane cherished her family above all else. She found joy in simple moments: sharing amazing home cooked meals (her cinnamon rolls were always a favorite or peach and / or cherry cobblers), celebrating birthdays, making clothes for her girls and later for her grandbabies, offering guidance, and creating a home filled with warmth and love. Her raspy laughter, her funny stories, and her spicy reactions will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

She is survived by her son Stephen Lee Harrington of Huntsville, TX, his children Meredith Harrington of Milwaukee, WI and Mark Harrington of Layette, CO, her daughter Nina Kim Harrington of Golden, CO and her three sons, Jacob Dunafon of San Diego, CA, Joshua Dunafon of Breckinridge, CO and JJ Dunafon of Golden, CO. Whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Jane is also survived by her three sisters Edna Hager, Becky Grau, and Debbie Caughron. Edna Hager's daughters Wendy Tankersley and Melanie Phares and son John Hager. Becky Grau's sons Doug Grau and Nicholas Grau, and daughter Stephanie Harp. Debbie Caughron's son Michael Murrill. Her sister-in-law Lunell Winton of Clovis, NM, and her four sons, Andy, Scott, Todd and Jeff.

A celebration of life will be held in Clovis, NM on August 1, 2026 at 4:00 - 6:00 pm at:
