Jimmy Donaghe

Jimmy F. Donaghe, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, November 8, 2021.

Jim was born July 3, 1942, to James F. and Betty M. (Cross) Donaghe in Clovis, NM.  He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the age of eight at Prince Street Baptist Church.

Jim worked at the railroad in Clovis with his grandpa "Tiny" Cross for a brief time before and after his time in the Navy. Jim served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963. He married Lillian Wilson August 17, 1963, in San Diego, CA. He worked as a mechanic and  eventually became manager of two Fed Mart Auto Centers.  He then moved on to assembly work for General Dynamics. He then worked on oil and water turbines for Solar Turbines and later jet turbines for U.S. Air. They raised their family in San
Diego, CA and moved back to Clovis in 1996.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Donaghe; mother, Betty Donaghe; daughter, Birdina LaVere; stepmother, Anneliese Donaghe; grandparents, Floyd (Tiny) and Laura Cross; three brothers, Roland Donaghe, Bobby Donaghe and Jr
Donaghe; a great granddaughter, Zaida LaVere. Also, father and mother-in-law Charles and Louise Wilson and brother-in-law Chuck Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lillian Donaghe; his two daughters, Rebecca Bird and Alisa Crossen; a son, James Donaghe (Alvaro) of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Susi (Jim) Chesser, Jill (Don) Pagh and Berta (Gene) Pavone; two grandsons, Bobby Joe LaVere and Charles (Sheriqa) LaVere; three granddaughters, Katrina (Bobby Lee) LaVere, Mary (John) Patrick and Jamie (Brandon) Mitchell; three great grandsons,
Daymeon Childress, Julian LaVere and Jesse Patrick; four great granddaughters, Addison Green, Charli Patrick, Aurora Lee, Dakoda Lee; two sister in laws, Charlene Plaschke and Ruth (Ron) Smith; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at
High Plains Baptist Church,
Saturday, December 11 at 2:00 P.M
