Lena Griffin

Lena Griffin, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. She was born May 19, 1925 to Thomas Weir and Ethel Bradshaw in Clovis, NM. Lena is preceded in death by her parents and brother Tommy Weir.

Lena was a long time resident of Clovis having graduated from Clovis High School in 1942. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed meeting new people and loved to cook for her family and friends. Lena was always willing to help her family and friends with anything she could and setting the example to serve others as she would want to be served.

Lena is survived by her sons Jim and Clay Griffin of Clovis, NM; Sisters Fay Bedinger of Kansas City, MO and Irene Hisle of Granbury, TX; nephews Mike Bedinger and Steve Weir; and nieces Sue Baird and Julie Mahan.

Visitation will be Saturday July 29, 2017 from 9:00am-1:00pm and Sunday July 30, 2017 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Monday July 31, 2017 at Prince Street Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Hohstadt officiating. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
