Lucy Ann Harrison

December 3, 1930 — April 24, 2026

Lucy Ann Hardisty Harrison, 95, left this earth for her forever home with Jesus on Friday, April 24, 2026 in Clovis, NM. Her services will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church of Clovis.

Lucy Ann Harrison was born in Lamesa, Texas, on December 3, 1930, to Benjamin and Dolly Hardisty. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1947, and married Paul P Harrison the summer after graduation. Lucy and Paul farmed together north of Texico for the next 36 years. After that, she lived a life of service in the Clovis and Texico communities.

Lucy will be fondly remembered by those she loved and served for her generosity and ability to do just about anything. From driving a tractor, to cooking a full meal for a crew, to planning a reunion, to sewing drapes or a wedding dress, she was excellent at whatever she did. Lucy used those gifts and talents to bless those around her. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, volunteering in the church library, missions, and the food pantry ministry. She loved her Sunday School class, "Charlie's Angels" as they affectionately called each other, and her weekly lunches with the ladies. But most of all she loved her family. She was their rock, their cheerleader and their hostess. She was able to do all these things because she did them through Christ Jesus, who strengthened her. Her deep faith in her Savior drove everything she did--serving Him by serving others.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Dolly Hardisty, brothers John, Benny and Jerry Hardisty, husband Paul Harrison, nephew Danny Henderson, nieces Carol Burr and Kim Powell.

She is survived by her sons, Doug and Lisa Harrison of Clovis, NM, Mark and Kathy Harrison of Texico, NM, granddaughter Holly and Cooper Cogdell of SIlverton, TX, grandson Mitch Harrison of Liberal, KS, and great-grandchildren McCrae, Hayes and Quincy Cogdell. She is also survived by her brother Dan Hardisty of Stephenville, TX, sisters Helen Mercer of Tularosa, NM, and Carolyn Hardisty Ruiz of Albuquerque, NM, and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. She knew how to make each one feel like they were her very favorite.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Retirement Ranch for their care and thoughtfulness the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Portales, NM.
