Mr. Marion Denford Ware went home to be with Jesus on June 2, 2021, in Clovis, New Mexico.
Marion was born in Lescomb County, Texas on September 8, 1923, to the home of Clyde and Blanch (Loyd) Ware. Marion married Esther Alberta (Hodges) Ware on July 24, 1943, and they spent 73 beautiful years together until Ms. Esther passed on October 27, 2014.
Marion Ware drove a milk and candy truck until he became a wheat farmer and cattle rancher on a farm in Grady, NM. Mr. Ware continued in agriculture for 70 years. At one point Mr. Ware won a shiny new red truck at a raffle held by the Farmers Union in Clovis. Unfortunately, he ran out of gas on his way back to his farm because he forgot to put gas in it. Marion was a committed and loyal member of Grady Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Grady, New Mexico FFA.
Mr. Marion Ware is preceded in death by spouse: Esther Ware, parents: Clyde and Blanch Ware, siblings: Dessie Reed, Echo Mackechnie, Georgie Corbin, and Dale Ware.
Mr. Marion Ware is survived by siblings: Elsie Hightower of Chico, CA, Edna Gorman of Santa Ana, CA, Ina Hale of Clovis,NM and Bob Ware of Minot, ND, Children: Jimmy Ware (Debi) of Grady, NM, Dan Ware (Margaret) of Rio Rancho, NM, and Carol Priest of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Grandchildren: Sandra Ware, Michael Ware, Curtis Ware, Jeff Ware, Sid Ware (Buffy), and Tryndi Cox (Junior). Greatgrandchildren: Maddy and Cooper Ware, Morgan Ware, Tyla Brunson (Michael), as well as Kaiden, Kelton, Karson, Jones, and Kanyon Cox.
A viewing will be held for Mr. Ware on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Steed Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM. A funeral service and graveside following will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Grady Baptist church, at 10:00am with burial following at Grady Cemetery in Grady, NM. Services will be officiated by Pastor Greg Martin. Pallbearers include Sid Ware, Kaiden, Kelton, and Karson Jones, Michael Ware, Curtis Ware, Jeff Ware, and Cooper Ware. Honorary Pallbearers include all nieces, nephews, friends, family, and neighbors of Mr. Marion Ware.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Children's Baptist Home in Portales, NM.
