Mary Chapman

Mary Chapman (Versita Va Padilla) age 90 born April 28,1931 In Porta Luna New Mexico to Vidal Padilla and Emma Duran Padilla.

She passed away February 6, 2022 under the care of hospice and family at the home of her! daughter Debbie here in Clovis, New Mexico.

Mary has live a great 90 years. In those years of growing she loved going to work with her dad and working on the farm with her siblings. Mary grew up to be a strong independent woman who was blessed with 7 children Diane, Dickey, David, Danny. Debbie, Delbert and Terry all whom she loved spending most of her time with.

She loved having family around especially during the holidays where she enjoyed seeing all of her grand children run around. Mary also loved taking long walks during the day, and then coming home to watch her favorite tv shows always made sure to pray the rosary before bed. She was an amazing women who will always have a place in our hearts and will be missed by many.

Mary is survived by 3 daughters Diane Chapman, Debbie Lopez, Terry Chapman, 4 sons Dickey Chapman, David Chapman, Danny Chapman (Clara). Delbert Chapman, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 21 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Vidal and Emma Padilla, 1 brother Johnny 2 sisters Christine and Margie. 3 brother-N-Laws Julian Johnny, and Victor, 1 sister-n-law Betty, 1 son-n-law Elias (Lee) and 2 great grandchildren Adam and Evan.

Visitation is being held at Ms. Chapmans family home, 309 Georgia St. Clovis, NM 88101 from 2:00pm Feb 9th to 4:00pm Feb 14th. A rosary will be recited at Steed Todd Funeral Home Monday February 14, at 6:00pm.
