Mary Naomi (Brandon) Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 23, 2024. Naomi was born August 26, 1930, to Merlin and Helen Brandon in Rogers, New Mexico. Naomi grew up in Saint Vrain, NM and later moved with her mom and dad to Clovis where she attended and graduated from Clovis High School. While attending Clovis High School, she met the love of her life James Riley Williams and they were married on December 9, 1948. Naomi and James settled on their farm and ranch southwest of Grady, New Mexico where they farmed and ranched and raised their 4 children. James and Naomi lived on the farm for 44 years where Naomi worked side by side with James working cattle and working in the fields. During this time, Naomi was very active in the Grady Community by being a 4-H leader and driving a school bus. She also grew a large garden and canned everything she grew. Somehow, Naomi found time to sew for her family as well as sewing all the cheerleading outfits for her girls and other Grady Cheerleaders. Not only did she sew for the community, she also made numerous prom dresses, wedding dresses and Ladies Lead outfits for both County Fairs and State Fairs. Naomi loved to teach her girls to sew and any other who wanted to learn. She also loved to paint, crochet and craft away. During her time as a 4-H Leader, she was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame. This was an honor that she cherished very much. Naomi was also a member of the Grady Women's Extension Club and was very active in Extension. She judged for many years at the Curry County Fair in the Home Arts Department as well as other counties in Eastern New Mexico. Between the early 1990's through the mid 2000's she supported all Eastern New Mexico Athletic Departments by making many of the sports banners.
In the winter of 1992, James and Naomi sold their family farm and moved Northeast of Clovis and then later moved into town where she resided until her death.
