Mr. Ignacio Maestas

Ignacio Maestas, 78, of Texico NM, passed away on October 3, 2017, in Muleshoe TX.
A rosary will be recited at 10:00am, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Friday, October 13, 2017 in Clovis NM. Inurnment will follow at the Texico Cemetery.
Ignacio was born in Santa Rosa NM, to Guadalupe and Lucita Maestas, on July 31, 1939. He attended school in Santa Rosa. He worked fixing tires and at restaurants for more than 5 years. He was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church in Texico NM.
Ignacio is preceded in death by his parents: Guadalupe and Lucita Maestas; two brothers: Jimmy Maestas, Lucas Maestas; sister: Frances Moncayo; brother-in-law: Frank Moncayo; and a nephew: Jerry Moncayo. Surviving his death are all his nieces and nephews and a godson Peter Moncayo.
His hobbies were singing, riding his tri-bike, picking up cans, playing harmonica at family gatherings, and his favorite holiday was Halloween. Most of all, he loved to help people, whenever he could. He will be missed by everyone.
