On June 23, 2020, Nancy Bishop was warmly and lovingly embraced by the arms of Jesus Christ as she arrived home, in Heaven.
Nancy (Pertl) Bishop of Clovis, New Mexico was born on May 27, 1957 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was born into the home of adoring parents, Joseph and Carol Pertl. The Pertl household was a military family, seeing much of America upon being stationed in many places. Nancy resided in several states including South Dakota, all the way to Hawaii, just to name a few. She graduated High School at Redford High in Honolulu, HI before moving to Clovis, New Mexico.
Nancy married her best friend, and the love of her life, Patrick Bishop on November 27, 1992. Nancy and Pat created an incredible life together in Clovis, NM where Nancy worked as an office administrator for 18 years at Aero Tech. Nancy spent many joyful hours volunteering at her daughter’s school and teaching first graders how to read. She beat breast cancer just last year in 2019, and was able to inspire others fighting cancer as she battled through victoriously. Nancy enjoyed exercising and taking work out classes at Clovis Community College, and walking her two precious golden retrievers, Baxter and Baily.
When Nancy retired with husband Pat, they enjoyed many wonderful adventures traveling together, gardening and landscaping, as well as spending free time with one another and their grandkids.
Nancy was a happy member of Hillside Church of Clovis, attending Sunday services with her granddaughter, Madison. Nancy loved to welcome large groups into her home, and was fabulous at hosting Sunday dinners and family game nights, inviting anyone who wanted to come. There were never too many guests in her home, everyone was always welcome.
Nancy will be remembered as gracious wife, Mom, and Nana who always put everyone else first. She will always be the core memory of what real love looks like, in the hearts of those she has left behind. She leaves the world with an extraordinary legacy of generosity and sincere kindness.
Nancy Bishop impacted and touched all of the lives around her throughout her entire life and she will be truly missed.
