Octaviano (O.T.) Garcia

Octavio “OT” Garcia, 83, of Clovis passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on August 10, 2022, in Clovis, New Mexico.

Octavio was born March 12, 1939, in Delia, New Mexico to Natividad and Celia Garcia. He married Pauline (Chavez) Garcia on November 25, 1961, in Clovis, New Mexico.
He retired from the BNSF Railroad. He was a father, brother, uncle, devoted friend, and protector. He was all about his family and he was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known for being a trusted mechanic he loved watching his western shows, listening to his country/western music spending time with his family, going on his daily car rides, joking around with the grandkids and great-grandkids.

Octavio is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Garcia; parents, Natividad and Celia Garcia; sister Minnie Gauna; brothers, Junior, Andrew and Blaise Garcia, Great Grandchildren Honesty Garcia and Fabian Gallegos.

Octavio is survived by his four Daughters, Elizabeth Cordova, Lorrie (Jacob) Mascarenas, Yvonne Garcia, Corina (Jeff) Mascarenas sisters Martha Chavez (Tony) & Gloria Sanchez (Julio) all from Clovis, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan, Brian, April, Nathan, Desiree, Darren, Brittany, Cynthia, Kimberly, Matthew, Lorrisa; and many great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Cordova, Brian Garcia, Nathan Sandoval, Matthew Mascarenas, Jayden Ross, Erik Lopez, Anthony Garcia, and Jacob Garcia.

Visitation will be on Wednesday August 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, New Mexico.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., Mass Services will be held immediately following at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Franklin officiating.

Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clovis, New Mexico.

A potluck gathering for friends and family following the service will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Gymnasium.
