Onecia Nixon

Onecia "Jackie" Nixon, age 41, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on July 2, 1976 in Los Angeles, California to the home of Otis and MayAnn (Durrah) Harris. She married Ishmael Nixon on May 12, 2003 in Clovis, New Mexico.

Jackie loved going out to eat, loved bar-b-que's with her family and loved spending time with her church family and friends. She loved her mom, dad, and her children to pieces. She was a hairdresser for many years and worked as a nurse's aid for some time and she just loved helping people in need.

She is survived by her husband, Ishmael Nixon of the home; her children, Nastassjiah Harris, Keywon Harris, Acayshia Nixon, Azohnni Nixon; her parents, Otis and Mary Harris of Clovis, New Mexico; and two sisters, Kristy Harris of Alabama, Tonya Smith of Alabama, and Calandra Durrah of Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashanti Nixon.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place after services.
