Patricia Cecilia Maes, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 80, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. A joyful spirit whose life was marked by kindness and warmth, Patricia will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born on April 18, 1945, in Mosquero, New Mexico, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Pablo and Stella Aragon. She completed her education in the Mosquero school district, which nurtured her strong values and compassion for others.
Patricia's heart belonged to her family, and on April 18, she joyously wed her lifelong partner, Pablo Maes. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Throughout her career, Patricia exemplified dedication and hard work in various roles, contributing over 15 years to Hartley House, serving for 8 years at the Holiday Inn, 5 years as a nurse's aide, and for 20 years of her working life, she put her organizational skills to use as a secretary at Meas Roofing.
A passionate cook, Patricia took joy in preparing meals for her family and friends, bringing them together around the table. Her love for food was matched only by her deep faith, which she expressed through her involvement in church. Her kindness and generosity will forever be remembered, as she touched the lives of many with her comforting words and unwavering support.
Patricia is survived by her treasured children; Christine (Hank) Meadow, Julie (Albert) Andrada, Cathy Martinez, Bonnie (Jimmy) Cordova, Danny (Estella) Maes, step children; Paul Jr., Orlando, Virginia, Jenet, Ray and Estrilla, her brothers and sister; William Aragon, David Aragon, Michael Aragon, Jimmy Aragon and (sis) Libby Armandaez, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
