Rachel Rivera Roy passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Rachel also known by "Mema" was born on December 11, 1951, to Marselo Rivera and Sofia Terrezas Rivera in Odessa, Tx. Rachel loved to spend time shopping, collecting Coca-Cola items, crafting, reading her bible and listening to music.

Rachel married Richard Arnold Roy on December 20, 1969, in Texico, NM. They moved to Scituate, Massachusetts until 1975 where they moved to make a home in Clovis, NM. Rachel worked for TG&Y, Ben Franklins, Bragin Time and McCorry until she retired to enjoy time with her grandchildren. Rachel and her husband were long-time members of Calvary Baptist Church in Clovis, NM.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Richard Roy; Brother: Benjamin Rivera; Sons: Michael Roy and Stacy Roy of Alburquerque, NM and Christopher Roy of Clovis, NM; Daughter: Michelle Roy Holguin (Gilbert) of Amarillo, TX; Grandchildren: Lisa Sena (Issac) of Clovis, NM, Madison Amaral (Devin) of San Angelo, TX, Jaden Holguin of Clovis, NM and Bonus Grandson Jordan Holguin of Fort Worth, TX; Great-Grandchildren, Samantha Gallegos, Luke and Emily Sena and Jace Amaral; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rachel proceeded in death by her parents Marselo and Sofia Rivera; Sisters: Martha Ancira, Elizabeth "Liz" Horner, Lydia Smith and Brother: Paster Ruben Rivera.

A viewing for Rachel Roy will be held on Wednesday, September 9th from 10:00am-12:00pm and Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm shortly after at Steed-Todd Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be her Son Stacy Roy, Son-in-law Gilbert Holguin and Nephews Carol Smith, Eric Smith, Aaron Rivera and Moises Ancira Jr.
