Although Reyes tended to have a serious demeanor, he also had a very kind and loving heart for those he loved and cared for. Throughout his life he worked hard to provide for his family and even after retirement, he continued to work hard and keep himself busy, and was a life long member of the Disabled American Veterans. Reyes loved the outdoors; he especially liked fishing, picking pinon, camping with family and friends and in his younger years was an avid hunter. On any given day you could drive by his home and see him sitting in his favorite spot watering his lawn. He took great pride in maintaining a nice, well-kept lawn and home. He enjoyed taking walks, visiting with his friends and neighbors. Family meant the world to him, especially his daughters, siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren; they all held a very special place in his heart. Despite numerous health issues, his wife and family were his primary motivation to keep going and he loved them unconditionally. He will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and other staff from Plains Regional Medical Center who assisted in his care. A huge “thank you” to Fr. Sotero Sena, Fr. Michael Niemezak, Fr. Eli Valadez, Deacon Steve Garcia, Deacon Juan Rodriguez, the musicians and all the family, friends, and neighbors for their assistance, support and prayers during this difficult time.
