Robert Davis

November 23, 1953 — November 18, 2023

Robert went to take his place with the Angels after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by his wife of 38 years, Linda J. Davis, stepdaughter Cheryl Kneitz and grandson Brandyn Roberts.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Claudia Purvis; Father Robert A. Davis and Stepson Larry.

Survived by his Wife Linda J. Davis of Clovis New Mexico, Son Bobby Davis of Florida, Stepdaughter Cheryl Kneitz of Clovis New Mexico, Stepsons; Raymond Gates of California, Jeffery Gates of Florida, Brothers; Robbie Davis of California, Bill Brown of Washington, Durwood Brown of Washington and Sisters; Karen Simmons of Oregon, Rosa Brown Wardlow of Washington and Joliene Brown of Washington. Seventeen grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He worked in Law Enforcement in Alaska, Car Rental Agencies and Kneisecs Auto Body as Parts Manager in Sacramento California before moving to Pine Island Florida. He was an accomplished musician.

He graduated from Reedsport High School and studied at the University of Oregon.

His greatest loves were family and music. He performed professionally at many venues including Reno Nevada in 2003 and Americana Music Festival and Conference in Nashville in 2013. Many events including, From Our Hearts, an organization supporting free cancer screenings and treatment for breast cancer to residents of Pine Island, Florida. He was also a Board Member of the Praiseband for Pine Island Community Church.

He was loved and respected by many and especially his best friend of 53 years, Tom Durr of Sacramento. They have continued their friendship even though separated by thousands of miles.

He was most loved by his wife and family. He will be missed but find comfort in the knowledge that he's no longer suffering and is finally at peace.

Go forward and play now in the Big Band in the Sky.

He requested no service or public viewing and his life will be celebrated at home with his family.
