Robert E. Luckie Jr of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on December 27,2025 in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on January 5, 2026 in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating services. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
Robert was born in Aurora, Colorado to Robert E. Luckie Sr. and Margaret (Faucett) Luckie on May 21, 1956. He attended school in Sacramento, California.
Robert married the love of his life, JoAnn (Archuleta) Luckie on April 18, 1988. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, pool and barbecuing for the family. He also enjoyed fishing very much and if he could find a fishing hole he would pull out his pole and catch some dinner for the night. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, hunting and riding his Harley. As a die hard Texas Tech and a 49ers fan, he loved watching his teams play football. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and his fur babies, Baby and Lily. He was a very proud Grandpo to all of his grandchildren.
Robert loved to laugh and share jokes and stories. He was a free spirit who loved the open road and country music. A hard worker, he worked various jobs over the years. He always said he was a jack of all trades, but a master of none. He retired in 2020 as a truck driver for Indian River where he worked for 14 years. He is also a proud Army Veteran.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Robert E. Luckie Sr., his mother Margaret Luckie and a sister Alice Arthur.
Robert is survived by the love of his life, JoAnn Luckie; his daughters, Virginia (Luckie) Zamora of Clovis, New Mexico, Jennifer (Noah) Bratt of Sacramento, California and Sara (Jason) Kimbrel of Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Jesus (Francesca) Zamora of Clovis, New Mexico; a brother, Earl Luckie of Clovis, New Mexico; a sister, Carol (Tony) Delao of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Alfredo Lopez, Jr., Angelo Lopez, Raymond Garcia, Jesus Zamora II, Jazzmein Zamora, Julio Zamora, Roxanne Napier-Zamora, Isabella Napier-Zamora, Kane Bratt, Abbie Bratt, Sammie Bratt and Maurice Kimbre; and one great-grandchild, Tony Zamora.
Pallbearers include; Earl Luckie, Jesus Zamora, Gabriel Espinoza, Alfredo Lopez Jr,., Angelo Lopez and Raymond Garcia.
Though our hearts ache, we celebrate a life well-lived, knowing that Robert's spirit is now in God's glorious presence, where there is no more sorrow or pain.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to West Texas Heart and Vascular, Dr. Colbert Perez, Texas Tech (Lubbock) and BSA (Amarillo) for their compassionate care and assistance during this time.
