Ronnie Mitchell

Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3rd, at Steed Todd Chapel for Ronnie Gene Mitchell of Clovis, New Mexico.

Ronnie passed away peacefully in the evening on November 30th, 2021, at age 88 surrounded by family in Lubbock, Texas at the Lubbock Heart Hospital.

He was born on May 13th, 1933, in Grier, New Mexico to parents Elizabeth & Dewey Mitchell.

He married his wife of 68 years, Wanda Mitchell, when he was twenty years old and went on to raise a beautiful family.

Ronnie was a farmer and rancher who grew grain and raised cattle; he owned a pawn shop and car lot as well. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a rider for the majority of his life. He attended The Assembly of God Church of the Nazarene and lived as a devoted Christian. He will be remembered as a good husband, caring father, loving grandfather, and trusted friend.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Wanda Mitchell, as well as sister Iris O'Rear, sister-in-law Beulah Mitchell, three sons, Arlon Mitchell (Wife Jana), Danny Mitchell (Wife Deborah), Michael Mitchell, a daughter, Ronda Anaya, nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Elbert Mitchell, Waymon Mitchell, Leon Mitchell, as well as his parents Elizabeth & Dewey Mitchell.
