Ruben Garcia

Ruben Ross Garcia Sr., 58, of Portales, New Mexico, passed away on July 15, 2025 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Visitation will be held on July 23, 2025 in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel from 10-12.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation starting at 1:00pm with Dominique Lucero officiating. Arrangements have been made with Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Ruben was born to Jose and Cecilia Garcia on January 24, 1967 in Portales, New Mexico. He married the love of his life Rebecca Garcia on May 28, 1987 in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas. Ruben was a jack of all trades, he could literally do anything that needed to be done.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Cecilia, and his sister Monica.

Ruben is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Garcia, his children; Adriana Garcia, Ruben Garcia Jr. (Noemi Ramos), Joseph Garcia (Amanda Beach), John Garcia, Marisol Lopez (Manuel Lopez), his siblings; Debrah Lucero, Therisita Garcia, and half brother Ruben Garcia, grandchildren;Kayden Garcia, Cecilia Garcia, Manuel Reyes, Josiah Cordova, Lucario Balboa, Harmony Garcia, Jose Antonio Garcia, Jose Lynn Garcia, Xylan Garcia, Jody Childress Jr., Reynoldo Balboa, Adan Ramos, Kinsley Garcia, Jose Lopez, Araya Lopez, and one great-granddaughter Eva Lynn Garcia.

Ruben will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
