She and herbrhusband Edgar farmed and ranched in the Ranchvale area until 1958 when they moved into Clovis. She enjoyed her life as a housewife and was known as an excellent cook and hostess. She loved oil painting, making afghans for her children and grandchildren, fishing and flower gardening. Mrs. Cooper was an active member of the 16m and Pile Church of Christ here in Clovis and the Logan Church of Christ in Logan, New Mexico. She was a past member of the Cattle Capitol Cowbelles. Visitation for family and friends wil be held from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Friday, January 7, 2005 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
