Ruth Ford

Ruth Ford, 94, passed away on May 14, 2026, one month before her 95th birthday.

Ruth was born June 13, 1931, in El Paso, Texas, to Antonio and Lydia Mendoza. She married Earl Anderson Ford Jr. on January 7, 1947, in El Paso, Texas. The couple lived in El Paso before moving to Evansville, Indiana, where Ruth devoted her life to raising their five sons. The family later relocated to Clovis when Earl began working as a truck driver for Safeway.

Ruth became a Christian and was baptized in 1958 at First Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana. After moving to Clovis, she attended First Baptist Church of Clovis with her sons.

She enjoyed making ceramics, knitting for family and friends, reading her Bible, cooking, and growing plants.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Anderson Ford Jr.; her sons, Allen Keith and Billy Gene; her brother, Thomas; and her sisters, Angie and Margie.

She is survived by her sons, Earl Anderson Ford III "Andy" and wife Trudi, Thomas M. Ford and wife Cindy, and Daniel Lee Ford "Dutch" and wife Judy; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with pastor Wayne Boydston officiating.
