Shelva Robinson

March 20, 1939 — November 28, 2018

Mrs. Shelva Jean (Green) Robinson, born on March 20, 1939 in Richwood, West Virginia, to the late Armitta Green and the late Oliver Green, peacefully joined our Lord and Saviour at age 79 on November 28, 2018 in Clovis, New Mexico.

She was a dedicated Pianist / Organist for Texico Baptist and Prince Street Baptist churches for more than 17 years, as well as a private piano teacher. Shelva was a devout Christian and an accomplished singer. Sharing her talents with her church and students brought her great joy. Shelva was married to Charles Robinson, her childhood sweetheart for 61 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Warren Green, and a sister, Wanda Bains. Shelva is survived by her sons, Terry Robinson, Duane Robinson (Katie), and David Robinson; daughters, Susan Robinson and Nancey Payne (Leon); and sister, Wilma Faulkner (Lee) of Little Rock, AR, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shelva's name to Prince Street Baptist Church of Clovis where she was a devoted member.

Friends and family members are invited to attend her celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Tommy Hohstadt, at Prince Street Baptist Church, 421 N. Prince, Clovis, NM on Friday, November 30th at 2:00 pm.
