Steve Gene Sena, 78, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on September 29, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas at University Medical Center.
Rosary and visitation is on October 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., located in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. 800 E. Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico 88101.
Funeral Services will be held on October 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m., with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating.
A burial will follow the funeral services at Mission Garden of Memories. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
Gene was born on December 19, 1946 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to Alice E. Casaus and Charley Pat Sena. Gene married Christine Cordova on August 6, 2002 in Clovis, New Mexico. They were together for 45 years at the time if his departure. Gene worked many different jobs throughout his life as he was a truck driver for Coors for 10 years, worked at the Furniture Mart for 7 years. he worked for the grain elevators, and was a store manager for Allsups for 32 years. He served in the Army National Guard of New Mexico and during his time there her received a medal for being an expert rifleman. Gene had a love for his Dallas Cowboys and Elvis Presley. He was such an Elvis Presley fan that he would always listen to him, he even used Elvis for his ringtone. He was such a character at times, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Gene is preceded in death by his dasd Charley Sena in 1996, his brother Raymond Sena in 2005, his mother Alice E. Sena in 2015, and his brother-in-law George Baca.
Gene is survived by his wife Christine Sena, his four children; Robert Sena, Donna Sena, Manuel Mejia (Martha) and Beatrice Sena all of Clovis, New Mexico, his sister Edna Baca of Amarillo, Texas, his grandchildren; Robert Vega, Makayla Mejia, Krystal Kincaid of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Roy Kincaid of Clovis, New Mexico, his great-grandchildren; Jose Vega, James Sanchez Jr., all of Clovis, New Mexico, as well as his in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Maricruz Cordova, John Cordova, Cipriano Martinez, Jeremy Lucero, Ramon Zamora and Robbie Sena. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Ray Cordova, Vicente Cordova, Abran Cordova and his other host of family members.
The family of Gene wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the nurses, and doctors a University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, and to everyone else that has been there for us throughout this most difficult time.
