Susan Pippin left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 7, 2020. Susan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1984. She valiantly battled the disease for years but is now free of the disease and can walk again with her Lord and Savior.
Susan was born in Clovis, NM to Clifford and Josephine (Davis) Pippin, on September 15, 1954. Susan worked for many years as a secretary and raised her beautiful children, Dean and Jennifer. In 2000 Susan graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with her bachelor's degree in psychology. After graduation, she became an avid scrapbooker over the years. Susan was known for her love of cats and the number of cats she owned throughout her life, and she was also an ardent supporter of the rights of disabled persons. For many years Susan was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and held several offices, including President, Vice President, and Secretary. Susan was also a loyal member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico.
Susan is preceded in death by parents; Clifford and Josephine, her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and several cousins.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bodine and her husband Thomas Bodine of Clovis, son Ronald "Dean" Tunnell II and his wife Judy Tunnell of Albuquerque, her brother James Rex Pippin of Hawai’i, and many cousins. She is also survived by her grandsons Ronald and Ricardo Tunnell of Albuquerque and Kristin Bodine of Clovis and two step-grandsons, Mathew Bodine and Michael Bodine of Phoenix, AZ.
A memorial service in Susan's honor will be held on September 11, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, NM, at 3:00 pm. There will NOT be graveside service. Susan Pippin will be buried at a later date.
Flowers are welcome, but the family requests donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society made in Susan's name.
