In Loving Memory of Thanongsak "Charlie" Gentry September 14, 1962 - March 13, 2026

Thanongsak "Charlie" Gentry, 63, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026.

Born in Chonburi, Thailand, Charlie was raised in Abilene, Texas, where he graduated from Cooper High School in 1981. In 1982, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving with distinction and earning numerous awards and the rank of Staff Sergeant. His military service was a source of deep pride and shaped much of his life's character.

After completing his service in 1992, Charlie settled in Clovis, where he built a life rooted in dedication and perseverance. While working full-time as Head Chef at Shogun Steakhouse, he earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from Wayland Baptist University in 2011-a testament to his tireless work ethic and commitment to growth.

On February 18, 1997, Charlie married the love of his life, Un Suk "Suki" Gentry. Together they raised two children, traveled extensively, and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Charlie was known for his kindness, generosity, and ever-cheerful spirit. He found joy in fishing trips with his children and grandchildren, and despite his busy schedule, he always prioritized time with family.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gentry. He is survived by his beloved wife Suki; children Nathan (Tiffany) and Haley (Amber); grandchildren Kai and Aurora; mother Thongsee; sister Kanda (Tony); and brother James (Jessica).

A visitation will be held on March 19 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life service from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Charlie's legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
